A technology that has been around for over 30 years, but that is only now starting to gain traction in the manufacturing industry is Additive Manufacturing \u2013 also known as rapid prototyping, rapid manufacturing or 3D printing.<\/p>\n
Initially, this was mainly used for one-off prototypes. Now, however, this technology has earned a more permanent role within the plastics industry. Today, 3D printers are being integrated into the manufacturing process \u2013 and even being used for low-volume, customized production runs.<\/p>\n
